Position: Chinese Cuisine Chef (WOK 2 Level)
Work Locations: Suntec / Jewel / Compass One
Salary Range: $2,200 – $2,600

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage kitchen staff recruitment, training, and discipline.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure familiarity with all kitchen equipment.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness.
• Participate in menu planning and develop new dishes.
• Check and ensure the quality of ingredients delivered by suppliers.
• Collect feedback from the Restaurant Manager regarding the popularity and quality of dishes served.
• Coordinate with the Restaurant Manager on scheduled events and functions.
• Handle customer complaints related to food and propose ideas for business improvement.
• Train kitchen staff on the preparation of new menu items.
• Ensure all safety procedures are observed and followed in the kitchen.
• Monitor ingredient stock levels and alert the Chief Cutter when replenishment is needed.
• Be familiar with the sauces and cooking methods used for all food items.
• Prepare the required quantity of ingredients in advance for the next day’s operations.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Must be willing to work on weekends and public holidays.
