The IT Application Lead will be responsible for the successful execution of IT projects and day-to-day application support.
Job Description
1) Application Development, Deployment and Support
- Support the development of existing or new application using SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) best practices.
- Work with Internal and external resources on project and enhancement deployment to testing and production environment.
- Support day-to-day application support, escalation, reporting, documentation and apply preventive measures.
2) Project Management
- Collaborate with the Head of IT and relevant stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress and ensure that projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Maintain project documentation, including status reports, risk assessments and change requests.
- Coordinate project meetings with stakeholders, prepare agendas, and document meeting minutes.
3) Business Analysis: Stakeholder Collaboration & Technology Solutions Alignment
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of technology solutions that align with business goals.
4) Communication and Collaboration
- Work in close cooperation with cross functional and external stakeholders ensuring effective and timely communication.
- Provide regular updates to the Head of IT and other relevant stakeholders.
5) Quality Assurance
- Oversee and manage quality assurance processes conducted by external vendors.
- Ensure that IT solutions meet the defined requirements and quality standards.
Experience & Qualification
- Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
Pre-requisites
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in IT Application development and support.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management
- Proficiency in IT application development using programming languages, with a preference for PHP, Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Python, .Net or C#.
- Strong understanding of SQL (Structured Query Language) and the ability to write and optimize SQL queries.
- Experience with both on-premise and cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
- Advanced Excel skills, including the use of VBA and macros for automation.
- Familiarity with Power BI and Power Automate for data visualization and process automation.
- Knowledge of system integration technologies such as APIs and file-based SFTP.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to effectively address technical issues.
- Excellent documentation skills, including the ability to create detailed project and technical documentation.
- Expertise in gathering and documenting both business and technical requirements for IT projects.
- Understanding of quality assurance and testing principles, including creating and executing test plans.
- Awareness of cybersecurity best practices and the importance of safeguarding data and systems.
Good to have experience:
- Familiar with eCommerce such as Shopify and relevant Shopify App is highly desirable.
- Previous experience with application such as HubSpot, Aircall, MS Dynamic Business Central, Inventory Management System, ERP, Artificial Intelligence, POS, RFID is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in retail industry especially in retail jewellery.
- Exposure to Project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Jira.
