Food is not bad. Pretty tasty for some. Service was a bit slow while waiting for a table even when there wasn't a queue and had empty tables. The staff took 5 minutes to attend to an empty queue. We ordered a few promotional items and the food came very fast. A tad salty for some but generally pretty good for the price at $6++ per item We would hesitate at full price for some items such as the zup chai. Taste: Penang kway teow 4/5 Mentaiko ngho heong 4/5 (mentaiko not needed) Nasi lemak 3/5 Zup chai 3/5

Penang Culture is located at lvl 3 of Compass One atrium. They share the shop with Woke Ramen, from the same group too. While Penang Culture supposedly serving authentic Penang food, I have some reservations about it. The tastes and style of cooking are catered more towards Singaporean's taste. Nonetheless, the dishes tasted great. I love the beef ball soup, rather flavourful. The oyster omelette is also well cooked, and the egg is addicting. The coffee chicken is slightly sweet to me and it is really hard and tough. Taste wise, it is acceptable. Overall, their price point are quite reasonable and rather affordable. The taste are great too. They have lots of options to choose from, so don't be afraid to try it out!

Haven't eaten at Penang Culture since the last outlet at Whitesands closed down. Was very disappointed with the food...especially the steamed fish which was very fishy & the chap chye which was very watery ( forced ourselves to finish it coz i hate to waste food)

We went after lunch hour on a Sunday. The place was quite quiet. We usually enjoy their omelette and salted egg chicken with rice. This time we tried the white kopi chicken and stir fried beans with mince chicken. The white kopi chicken was so-so. The chicken in the beans was not cooked so after we alerted the staff they immediately replaced it. Of course the pie tee was fantastic. Not forgetting the ampla juice. But next time we will stick to our usual favs.

Did enjoying Penang Culture SG60 feasts. Promo from 01 June till 31 August. Had tried PC Nasi lemak. Plate with 2 chicken wings with spoonful sambal to go along. Amazing taste. Next their Assam Laksa is one of to be found non many in Singapore. It’s modern taste sure similarly to Penang taste 👅. They even have fried CWT & mixed rojak. King of Chendol will end great food dessert 🍨.

The food quality was disappointing. As shown in the photo, the lady’s fingers (okra) were so tough and rubbery that we couldn’t even chew them, it felt like chewing plastic. We had to spit them out. The texture clearly showed they weren’t fresh. We informed the staff, and they served another portion, but this time it was undercooked and still tasted raw. On top of that, the food was served very slowly. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend dining here.

Food is not the best I have tried but still considered not bad. Felt that the char kway teow could be better with more wok hey. White kopi chicken is unique. Mapo tofu was the best of all the dishes we tried.

Penang Fried Kway Teow - better off eating normal fried kway teow than having this 🙁 Kids meal - Home cooked food standard 🙁 - Haagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream is nice 🙂‍↔️ Crackers (trickery) served when sit down - It’s not free, and it was not mentioned when served $2.50 😡

Black Pepper Prawn Fried Rice was delicious. It had 2 big prawns. We also ordered their lunch set which had a side dish & a drink. Hokkien Mee was small in portion for the price point. It had some good prawn flavor. The salted egg squid you tiao was crispy and very tasty. It was slightly spicy with the chopped chili which goes very well with the main dish.

First time trying the branch here in Compass One. Together with our parents, we had a great dining experience. They were very satisfied with the quality and taste of the food. Pricing is reasonable too.
