A visit to the public library is one of my favourite pastimes. This library is clean, spacious and well maintained as the other public libraries in Singapore. Definitely worth a visit when you’re in Sengkang area.

What I like in libraries: Books that are available that I originally have on my online To-Be-Read (TBR). Spacious environments. Multiple book genres.
The first thing I noticed that drew my attention when I walked in was this little Harry Potter castle, which was on top of a bookshelf. The second thing I noticed was that they had a huge selection of audiovisuals.
Once you walk a bit more towards the left, you’ll see a few bookshelves, and close to those bookshelves is a long white table. And near the white table there are 2 seats close to a window. I think that area is a really nice spot for reading, studying, and using your computers.
If you want straight, you’ll see comics, and a teen section. In between 2 bookshelves, there are 2 seats, for safe distancing. There is also a magazine section.
There is also a quick charge area. Near the quick charge area there are a few shelves of adult fiction.
Overall, I think the Sengkang Library is a nice library for spending a long duration of time with your computer, or having a book you want to read. You can also study in the area of the white table and 2 seats near the window.

Fantastic library! Clean, modern, bright and full of positive vibes!
Did our Terra 2246 outreach at the library yesterday and the crowd was super enthusiastic to learn about #sustainability.
A big thank you to the NLB staff too! Without which there would not be such an outreach opportunity.
I'm glad the kids had fun with our astronauts and learned a thing or 2 about saving Mother Earth! 🌎

This is a two storey library and that easily makes it better. If you feel like the children section can be loud, you may find other reading spots. Conveniently located inside the mall with lots of reading books for small children. Lots of library staff too to remind the children to keep quiet while inside the library. My daughters love to hang out in this library after school.

Located within Compass One shopping mall, the library covers an area of 2,136 square meters, New areas in the library include the Early Literacy Area where families can read and bond together, the Tween Space targeted at children aged 10 to 14, and a dedicated Adults section for quiet reading. It was officially opened on 30 November 2002, comprising of 2 levels - it is convenient and accessible in the shopping centre.

It always been good experience coming here. I always find books to take away with. Borrowing the books is easy and returning is even easier. Just drop at the location and that's all.
They have lessen the book borrowed period from 5 weeks to 3 weeks. Now I have to finish and return the books every 3 weeks which sometimes might not enough.

Too noisy. But reading the comments it looks like there's a lot of parents thinking librarians have no rights to ask their children to be quiet or not to run in the library. Ignore these comments librarians. Take the library back!!! Don't let these ppl turning them into a playground!

Staff act like they are the police. Especially 1 indian lady staff on duty. She was going around being the police to everyone. From no sitting in certain areas, where there really arent any other seats to be at, to my stroller claiming that it was "taking up too much space", my son was sitting in the stroller about to sleep when he entered the library. Policing kids who were playing on the pc saying they made it jam. Think the librarians should change careers.

Library is small but having computer to play game for kids in the children's area. Kids were playing with computer instead of reading book and i became the bad mom when I told my kid to read book . He wanted to watch them playing and play instead of reading books.
Library should be a place which will let the kids to escape from the virtual wold and become friends with books. But if it becomes a game corner, why should it name as library
And even though the books are showing as available in the system, not available.

There is many books to select from. Wide selection of books to browse through and borrowing the books is so easy and efficient now a days. Separated into 2 level make the visit experience more interesting where you don’t mix the different categories into one. Like the updates decorations and furniture set into the location.
