Spacious place, 2 stories with wide selection of categories for readers from young children to adults and seniors. Many seating and reading areas too, for browsing and quiet reading. Only dun quite like the children section where the kids often play and move the rocking chairs/seats around noisily but kids will be kids. Just go too another quieter section.

Analakshami one of the staff reprimanded my kid for “running” around the library, and being a nuisance, held him back and gave him a lecture on why he should not be running at all in general, after which she down plate the other kids who were not running, and said to follow suit, who are you to be lecturing children? We do not go around teaching you how to do your job in the library? He’s barely 2 years old, how fast can he run?

I think a lot parents nowadays don't hush their children at the library. One of the noisiest library ever. Plenty of screaming (or talking in louder than normal volumes) and running children

The new Sengkang public library is now spread over 2 floors and the collection of books is great. The interiors are very nicely done. Just that people are so excited to have it reopened that it resembles a fish market more than a public library. I visited on a Sunday evening and it was absolutely hustling and bustling with hardly any places to sit and read. Hopefully it would provide a better experience once the excitement wears off among the public.

It was good but rather challenging to find. Two sections located on Levels 3 and 4. Good reading and media experience otherwise and fairly polite customer service.
