Chicken Pot at Compass One offers a comforting and hearty soup-based hot pot experience, perfect for a satisfying meal. Their broths are rich and flavorful, with options like herbal, spicy, or original chicken soup, all simmered to perfection. The tender chicken, fresh vegetables, and add-ons like mushrooms and tofu make it a wholesome dish. Portions are generous, ideal for sharing, and the service is efficient. While prices are slightly on the higher side, the quality and warmth of the meal make it worth it.

Place is clean, food is good. Waiter are very aware on customer, when your hotpot need big fire or small fire, they will notice and come to assist without you asking them to do so. Quite thoughtful. Reasonable price for a lunch hotpot to eat.

Ordered their Chicken hotpot. Came boiling hot with raw celery, capsicum and onions which takes a while to cooked . It’s rather oily for me so I removed -3 -4 tbs of oil. Personally, i don’t really like the spices used. The service staff is attentive and asked if we wanted to add additional veg from the ala cart menu before putting out the fire.

🍲 Chicken Hotpot @ Compass One – Worth a Try? Tried the Chicken Hotpot at Compass One recently and here’s my take: 🔥 Food: Ordered the Signature Chicken Hotpot (medium spice). The soup base was fragrant with a good punch of herbal aroma. Chicken was tender and well-marinated. It came bubbling hot, and we added some ingredients like enoki mushrooms, tofu skin, and lotus root—super shiok! 🌶️ Spice Level: You can customise the spice level. The medium was just right for me—not too overpowering but gave that satisfying kick. 💰 Price: Slightly on the pricier side for hotpot, but portion was generous and you’re paying for the quality of the broth. They charge per ingredient add-on, so it can add up. 🪑 Ambience: Comfortable and clean space, though it gets quite packed during peak hours. Best to go early or make a reservation. ✅ What I Liked: • Flavourful broth • Good variety of add-ons • Customisable spice level ❌ Could Be Better: • Wait time can be long • Slightly pricey if you add many ingredients 📍 Overall: If you’re a fan of strong, herbal-style broths with a spicy kick, this is worth checking out. Perfect for rainy days or a hearty dinner treat!

We have tried here many times as the taste of food was not bad. The service was also good too. I just hope they add more chicken and not small pieces of it. Most of them were also too much small bones that can either choke you up or chirp your teeth. Vegetable options are also quite expensive but marketing strategy wise, you would really want to add more veggies as you only have few small pieces of chicken and a whole lot of soup refill.

Ordered the coupe set, with sour vege fried fish and chicken pot, with 2 drinks. Staff are commendable for their service, but food is quite meh. This is the first time I am having this in SG but it’s far from the actual one that I have tried in China. The sour vege fish is also very disappointing, I think they should remove this dish from their menu.

One of my all-time favourite restaurants in Singapore.. Their signature chicken hotpot, fish hotpot and prawn hotpots are the best.. Service is always top notch.. very friendly and attentive team of servers who have been working there for years.. I always go back at least once every 2 months.. keep up the great work 👍

The eatery was busy during a weekday dinner, however the service was quick with food arriving 10 minutes after getting a table. Kudos that there is no charge for Zappy wet tissues unlike most Chinese restaurants where these are being charged at least 30 cents a piece. Expect to pay service charge and gst. We had a medium Chicken Hotpot ($23.80 ++) that came with lots of onions, some pieces of celery and green bell peppers. The dark brown gravy smelt like curry due to the use of spices like cumin. The spices did not add to the flavour of the dish. Decent portion of chicken pieces. A small Fish Hotpot ($21.80++) had only 6 pieces of fried fish sitting on top of a load of Chinese cabbage and preserved mustard ( kiam chye). Did not feel it was value for money. The soup was clear and appetising because of the kiam chye and salted plum used. Rice was expensive at $1.50 ++ a regular bowl portion. You have the option of self- service ala carte vegetables, vermicelli, bean curd skin , black fungus, fried yam etc from the chiller. The cheapest choice is $2.20++ like glass noodles and goes up to $7.00++ for a premium plate. I would not return.
