Regret not reading up reviews before heading in.. ordered the Large fish soup and it’s 80% vege (cabbage and preserved vege). Can’t believe I bought a $30 fish soup and tasted meh. Kopitiam one can be even better seriously. Mala hotpot was super oily but this is subjective so take my review only as a pinch of salt. Staff charges wet tissue even when we haven’t open any of them yet. Rejected all right away and they took them back. Quick to ask whether need to refill soup base but honestly, waited too long on a weekday lunch for first pot to arrive ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ No choice. 3 stars for me guys.

First visit, food was nice, the beef broth was thick and spicy enough with various choices of side dish to add on to the hotpot such as black mushroom, beancurd skin, Crab balls and Cheese Tofu. The food arrived within 15 mins even though it was during peak hour Sunday Lunch time.

The chicken hotpot, which is claypot chicken, served piping hot with a fire under it - when it gets thick, add water/soup and it would be like chicken soup. The claypot beef was nice, just that it’s slightly sweet ... Has some beef and beef balls, with different vegetables like capsicum, onion, leek, garlic, ginger etc. ordered medium chicken and small beef for three pax. Had maggi mee added. Went on eatigo 50% discount for the two claypot chicken and beef, while sides like maggi mee is full priced at $2.50. Expensive without the discount. It’s really just claypot chicken. Really salty, so you will need to add 上汤. Son prefers the claypot dishes at Oasis Terrace more. Will return when there’s eatigo.

As far as Chicken Hotpots go, this is the OG, tried multiple outlets and consistency in their broth is key. When it comes to claypot cooked chicken I can't think of anything else that is as appetising with a little bit of spiciness for good measure. My only complaint, I wish there were more bits of chicken and they would give more of the sauce instead of the soup. I would recommend adding on the assorted mushroom platter and fried tau kee for added enjoyment.

Food flavor ok. Price a bit high. But very stingy about tissue. Wet tissue ask for money. Dry tissue free but they don't put on table. Need to ask for it. Then they will bring a tissue box and let u take a few and they will take the box back again. They earn so much but still want to save on tissue!
