Mee soto with big chunks of chicken with fatty skin still on shows how much they care about their food. The fact that they can't even shred it (the way mee soto should be ) speaks alot

Food looks good, seasoning of food is good but a big chunk of chicken was uncooked, sotong and mutton rendang was overcooked. Had diarrhea after eating the chicken..

Wanted to break fast with the family today with Hjh Maimunah. We ordered via grab from the Compass One outlet and was so disappointed by the way they packed our food. Our poor grab rider had to deal with spillage all the way and had to apologise profusely but we knew it wasn't his fault. Ordered 2 bakso noodles and one of the pack of soup was not tied and spilled into the bag of food. Bee hoon came cold and hard. Grab rectified the issue and has already refunded us but I think as a well-known establishement please look into your packaging protocols and retrain your staff.

Quite like their Tauhu telur but I prefer my tauhu telur to be fluffier and less dense but the sauce is good. Had their nasi padang as well but the sambal prawns were a little too spicy for me and the prawns could be fresher. Queue is usually quite long on most days.

Pretty impressed with the nasi Padang from HJH Maimunah Mini at Kopitiam, Level 4.
The gravies on all dishes are fragrant, spicy, and delicious, while the variety of sambals adds an extra kick to the meal. Definitely a place I’d return to for more. Very popular spot, always with a queue — and for good reason. Michelin Bib Gourmand recommended.

I've always loved the food at Hajah Maimunah — it never disappoints! Their sotong masak hitam, sambal goreng, siput lemak cili padi, and traditional kuih are consistently delicious.
However, I was quite disappointed with the sambal kicap. It didn’t have that usual kick — it tasted more like plain kicap without any spiciness. I couldn’t really enjoy my mee soto because instead of the expected heat, I only tasted sweetness.
Of course, adding sambal belacan wouldn't be right either — that would throw off the whole mee soto flavour.
So I really hope the sambal kicap recipe can be tweaked to bring back that bold, spicy punch it’s known for.

Good nasi padang. Order beef rendang twice and both experience superb. Tender and juicy. Price is reasonable. The sambal chili is good too. Expect queues during peak hours.

This Malay mixed rice stall at Kopitiam, Level 4, SK Compass One, is absolutely amazing!
The curry sauce is rich and fragrant — spicy and flavorful — making every bite incredibly satisfying. Simply perfect!
The fried chicken is super crispy and juicy, and the anchovies are next level.
Even though they’re coated in sambal sauce, they stay wonderfully crispy instead of turning soggy — fantastic!
Once you try it, there’s no turning back. I’ll definitely be back for more!
Just a heads up — the queue starts forming around 5:40 PM, so be prepared. 🤣

definitely worth a visit if you want delicious and filling Malay food. The dishes are full of flavour, and the sambal is so good that you'll want to get extra rice. Reasonable prices, fast service, and a comfortable atmosphere for a casual meal. You won't regret stopping by.

Hjh Maimunah Mini Compass One: Delicious Nasi Padang with a Fast-Paced Vibe
Rating:
• Food: 4/5 (Flavorful and delicious nasi padang with perfectly cooked rice)
• Atmosphere: 4/5 (Fast-paced environment with a quick-moving queue)
• Service: 4/5 (Efficient and friendly service, although a bit rushed due to the high volume)
Overall: 4/5
Alright folks, Donkey and I were really excited to try Hjh Maimunah Mini Compass One. We'd heard about it, and seeing the constant queue and the Michelin Guide award made us even more curious.
We were definitely impressed by the food. The rice was perfectly cooked, and the curries and gravy were packed with flavor. We could tell why they were so popular.
The only thing we found a little challenging was the fast-paced environment. The queue moved quickly, which was good, but it meant we had to choose our food quickly. We read some mixed reviews about the staff being a bit rushed, and we think it's because they're trying to keep everything moving smoothly. We didn't have any negative experiences with the staff ourselves, though.
Overall, we had a great time. If you're looking for flavorful nasi padang and don't mind a bit of a rush, we definitely recommend checking out Hjh Maimunah Mini Compass One.

As someone who grows up watching and helping my dad preparing Nasi Padang dishes for family meals, I know how labourious and demanding it can be to prepare the ingredients and the time taken to cook. There is no shortcuts and not everything can be blended.
To do this with consistency and on daily basis requires a lot of discipline to maintain the quality of the taste.
I’m happy to share that the Fish Rice Set I had yesterday and Lontong today checked all attributes in terms of taste, texture and portion.
It came to no surprise that Hajah Maimunah still retains its Michelin Bib Gourmand status for several years now - a recognition for friendly establishment that serves good food at moderate prices. My Fish Rice Set cost $8.50 and Lontong cost $5.50. I was also happy that I could swapped the egg with bagedil. I bought Kuih Keria (sweet potatoes donuts) for $3.50, of which 2 coated with plain sugar and another 2 with palm sugar which was equally delicious!
So happy that I have authentic and delicious Malay food stall near my place!

Respect to the girl at the cashier. The queue is long every day and most of the customers are senior citizens. Sometimes there’s an old lady who’s a bit rude, or someone who takes a while to pay but she always stays calm and treats the next customer with the same patience. I seriously love all the food at Hjh Maimunah. And honestly, the Hjh Maimunah mini outlet at Compass One has some of the best customer service compared to their other branches.

First time eating from food court. Had tried their Nasi Padang at their Joo Chiat restaurant twice. Standard at the food court is also quite good. Will go eat again at the food court.
